What your teacher can see

chalk is a training platform, not a private notebook. Your teacher and any admin in your organisation can see, for any task you open:

• every draft of your code, including autosaved versions you never explicitly ran
• every Run and Submit you make, and the full result — including hidden test cases
• the hints you have revealed
• your live typing while you work, shown to a teacher in real time — a “is watching” indicator names them whenever this is happening

This is so they can help you when you’re stuck, review your work, and unlock the next step of the course — not to grade you on anything besides the tasks themselves.

Old drafts that aren’t your most recent one, and aren’t referenced by a submission or a comment, are deleted automatically after a set number of days. Submissions and reviews are kept.
